COVID-19 Coronavirus Health and Safety Precautions
The novel coronavirus that causes the respiratory disease known as COVID-19 may be able to survive on some surfaces for up to nine days, studies have found, and that may include your beloved phone. This is the device you handle constantly and often press to the side of your face, which means that any bacteria, virus or another germ that makes its way onto your phone or case could easily transfer to your skin.
The health and safety of our community is always a top priority. In light of the outbreaks of COVID-19, we all play a role in preventing the virus from spreading. When buying or selling, there are some simple measures you should take to help keep yourself and your community healthy.
What you need to know about trading in light of COVID-19
Please consider these recommendations from Health Canada when you are planning a transaction:
- Clean items with regular household cleaners or diluted bleach (1 part bleach to 9 parts water).
- Since respiratory viruses, such as the one that causes COVID-19, are spread through contact, change how you greet one another. Instead of a handshake, a kiss or a hug, a friendly wave or elbow bump is less likely to expose you to respiratory viruses.
- Practice frequent hand hygiene and coughing and sneezing etiquette. Cough or sneeze into a tissue or the bend of your arm, not your hand. Dispose of any tissues you have used as soon as possible in a lined wastebasket and wash your hands afterwards.

We ask all of our customers to consider the wellbeing of their community and stay home if you are sick. If you’re sick, wait until everyone in your household is better before making a transaction.
